Hosted by the Illinois Alliance to Prevent Obesity’s workgroup on Nutrition in Community and Institutional Settings, the webinar titled Marketing to Kids: How the Food and Beverage Industry Influences Kids’ Choices and How We Can Stop It explored how the food and beverage industry influences what children eat and drink and promising practices to limit their exposure. It featured industry experts who presented on marketing tactics currently being used and the impact it has on kids’ diets. Participants learned strategies for limiting marketing of unhealthy foods to kids and how to become advocates to stop it.
